COLOMBO The journalist Silmiya Yousuf was born with a pen in her hand . She is a multi-talented youth in her career. Subsequently, She underwent teacher-training program in English at Janajaya Vidyalaya Moratuwa for six months. Since 2019 She has been working as a News Editor at Colombo Times. She also works as a freelance journalist as a Mojo Journalist, Reporter, Story teller and Announcer. She is a stringer to various News paper and magazines too. She was honoured with an award for the best young writer journalist by SLBC ‘ IIlainchar idayam’ program in 2018. In her education career:She has completed her Higher National Diploma in English at SLIATE . After that she got internship at janajaya Vidyalaya Moratuwa as an English teacher trainee. She has completed Bachelor’s of Education , She has Completed Diploma in counseling at NISD, She has completed Mass Media Communication at University of Colombo and She was completed a course in graphics design & creativity development at University of Colombo schooling computer – advanced digital media technology center and and She is Currently following a course in Migration Law & policy at Open university of Colombo. She has very motivated & hard worker She was selected for the leadership training program and she successfully completed a month of exemplary youth leaders fellowship in Zam Zam Foundation. She is doing more various activities herself. She is very intrested in Social activities.
