COLOMBO : The action at the Divas Musical Lounge will go in to top gear tonight on its’ second day of their Oktoberfest fiesta with both the musical groups Wild Fire and Ware House Project on stage to belt out their renditions that include the top hits of both yesteryear and current.
The fantastic music yesterday with Derek, Shafie and Nilantha in the forefront made the guests at the festival get on the floor to swing their cares away to almost the wee hours of the morning. The repertoire was excellent. What a talented combo it was!
Not to be outdone, on the food front, Movenpick Hotel, Colombo had stalls for Starters, Main dishes and the desserts well set up to display their gourmet specialties to match the ambience that was one of a typical Oktoberfest festival that traces the origins to Bavaria, Germany.
The Starter, Ham Gherkin with whole Grain breads seemed to be the hot favourite while the main dishes Roast Chicken Drumsticks and the pickle Pork knuckles and Pork ribs with sauerkraut were ranked at the top as the favourite main dishes from the wide menu.
Oktoberfest is no doubt synonymous with good beer and Divas ensured the best of range is available for people to choose from.
The German Hostesses got the evening raving with Traditional Games that made the evening fun. The weather holding on gave the festival revelers the ease to party well.
