COLOMBO :Alaikum Assalam,
I would like to extend my heartfelt wishes to all Muslims celebrating Eid al-Adha, and to those performing the Hajj this year.
Hajj unites Muslims from across the globe—in reverent prayer and devotion. It serves as a powerful reminder that, in our shared humanity, we are all equal.
During Eid, Muslims uphold the noble traditions of charitable giving to the poor and collaborate with other faith communities to aid those suffering from hunger, illness, oppression, and conflict. These acts exemplify our shared roots and demonstrate how communities can come together in peace, dignity, and justice.
On behalf of the Board of Trustees of Colombo Grand Mosque, we offer our warmest greetings. May the prayers for peace made by the Hajj pilgrims be heard and fulfilled.
Eid Mubarak.
Thahir Razeen
President Colombo Grand Mosque
