COLOMBO – The Saudi Arabia Embassy in Colombo celebrated. the Founding Day of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the ICT Ratnadipa Hotel on Saturday February 21.
It was held under the patronage of Ambassador of Saudi Arabia Khalid Hamoud Alkahtani.
Chief Guest of the ceremony Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Arun Hemachandra along with Ambassador of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Khalid Hamoud Alkahtani cut the founding day cake.
Minister of Transport, Highways, Ports and Civil Aviation and Leader of the House of Parliament Bimal Rathnayake, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Dr. Rizvi Salih, Deputy Minister of Labour Mahinda Jayasinghe, Deputy Minister of National Integration Muneer Mulaffer, Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa, Former President Mahinda Rajapakse, Former Foreign Minister Ali Sabry, Former Western Province Governor Azath Salley, former Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardana, Members of Parliament, Diplomats, Foreign Ministry Officials, Representatives of Muslim Organizations and Saudi Embassy Officials were also present at the ceremony.
