COLOMBO – The Sri Lanka Malaysia Business Council (SLMBC) successfully hosted its prestigious Members Day on Friday January 24 at the Mandarina Colombo. The event brought together members, distinguished guests, and special invitees., High Commissioner of Malaysia to Sri Lanka and the Maldives, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. His presence underscored the importance of the ongoing partnership between the two nations and provided valuable insights into the current state of bilateral affairs.
The evening also featured a compelling keynote address by renowned business professional Dr. Rohantha Athukorala, who shared key perspectives and insights.
The SLMBC President Marshard Barry addressed the gathering, highlighting the Council’s commitment to fostering stronger economic and cultural ties between Sri Lanka and Malaysia. “SLMBC has been in the forefront of creating investment and business opportunity for Sri Lanka businesses and entrepreneurs, partnering with regional chambers. In the outset it is my pleasure to host an event of this nature for our membership to network and collaborate with SLMBC’s activities” added Barry.
As part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the value of the SLMBC membership, SLMBC was pleased to announce the introduction of the exclusive SLMBC Membership Card. This card will serve as a symbol of the members’ prestigious affiliation with the Council.
The event, hosted by the SLMBC President and Executive Committee, provided a valuable platform for attendees to network, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations.
