GAZA :Pope Francis on Saturday condemned an Israeli airstrike that resulted in the death of seven children from the same family in Jabalia Refugee Camp in the Gaza Strip, describing the act as brutal.
During his annual Christmas address, he stated: “Yesterday, children were bombed. This is brutality; it is not war. I wanted to say this because it touches the heart.”
In excerpts from a book published in November, Pope Francis called for a “thorough examination” of whether the situation in Gaza “aligns with the technical definition” of genocide.
