COLOMBO -The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) held its inaugural Colombo Central youth meeting, named Samagi Tharuna Balawegaya, on 04th August 2024 in Maligawatte.
This landmark event drew an impressive attendance of 700 youth participants.
The conference, held under the leadership of Parliamentarian Mujibur Rahman, was spiced with a special speech by youth Chairman Attorney at law Eranda Weliange which marked a significant milestone for the SJB.
The motto of the meeting, “සිහින දිනන රටක ජවය” (The Energy of a Nation that Wins Dreams), resonated deeply with the young attendees, inspiring a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere.
This event stands out as the first of its kind in Colombo Central, emphasizing the SJB’s commitment to engaging and empowering the youth. The success of the Samagi Tharuna Balawegaya meeting sets a promising precedent for future youth-focused initiatives within the party.
