COLOMBO : : A man was found brutally murdered inside a three-wheeler parked in Ward Place, Colombo, early Tuesday morning,News First reported here
The victim, identified as 33-year-old Chaminda Kumara, a resident of Athurugiriya, sustained fatal injuries from sharp weapons.
According to police, the incident occurred around 1 a.m. when three individuals arrived at the location in another three-wheeler and attacked the victim. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the crime.
Investigations via the Department of Motor Traffic revealed that the three-wheeler belonged to a resident of Middeniya.
The owner subsequently disclosed that the vehicle had been given to his brother-in-law, believed to be the victim, for use.
The Cinnamon Gardens Police are currently investigating the murder and have launched a manhunt for the suspects.
