The co-convener of the United Postal Trade Unions’ Front, Chinthaka Bandara says that they have decided to engage in a 48-hour token strike from Monday ,July 08 through July 09.
Speaking at a press conference, he stated that the token strike would commence from 4.00 p.m. Sunday July (07) at the Central Mail Exchange in Colombo.
However, this trade union action would be commenced across all other post offices from midnight on Sunday.
He further emphasised that they have launched this trade union action based on three demands.
