COLOMBO : On the joyous occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitre, I wish my Sri Lankan Muslim brothers and sisters the rahmat and bounty of the Almighty Allah; and the people of Sri Lanka divine blessings, happiness and well-being. After the month of practising self-restraint, may this auspicious day bring us closer to Allah and fill our lives with faith, hope, compassion, and serenity. We also wish Sri Lanka stride along the path of prosperity.
