COLOMBO – Sri Lanka – Malaysia Business Council of The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce hosted Annual Members Day Evening with the High Commissioner of Malaysia was held at the Mandarina Hotel, Colombo on Friday December 01.
The High Commissioner of Malaysia Badli Hisham Adam, graced the occasion with a few words, expressing gratitude for the strong ties between the two nations and highlighting the importance of fostering connections within the community.
A significant moment of the evening was the unveiling of the third edition of the newsletter, showcasing the latest updates and events of SLMBC. The newsletter serves as a valuable resource for members to stay informed and engaged in the dynamic activities of the community. President of the SLMBC M.H.K.M Hameez presented the first copy of the newsletter to High Commissioner of Malaysia Adam.
One of the key highlights of the evening was the announcement of a Women’s Empowering Initiative scheduled to take place on the 8th of March 2024. The initiative aims to celebrate and empower women within the community, providing a platform for collaboration on trading and availing regional markets for local entrepreneurs SOHO businesses led by women.
The event concluded with a sense of enthusiasm and anticipation for the upcoming initiatives that will further strengthen the bonds within the community in the coming New Year.
