BADULLA – Uva Province governor A J M MUZAMMIL presented the appointment letters to k 451 new principals who passed the competitive examination for the recruitment of Principal Grade III to the schools of Uva Province.
It was held on Tuesday November 6 at the Library Auditorium, Badulla under the patronage of Governor of the Uva Province A. J. M. Muzammil.
The acting principals and teachers in the schools in the province appeared for the competitive examination of principals and 363 persons were selected for the position of principals through Sinhala m3dium and 88 persons were selected through Tamil medium.
The newly appointed principals will attend a one-month special training workshop from the 16th. They will assume their duties in the schools provided from January.
Minister of State for Primary Industries Chamara Sampath Dasanayake, Minister of State for Education Aravindh Kumar, Badulla District Member of Parliament Major Sudarshana Denipitiya, Chief Secretary of Uva Province Damayanthi Paranagama and Secretary of Provincial Ministry of Education Gemini Mahindapala were participated in this event.
