
COLOMBO : The fortnight interview programme on SLBC Muslim Service, Paaramparyam (Heritage) talks to the Artistes of yesteryear to bring back their memories on the services rendered by them to Muslim Service of SLBC.
Also it never forgets to remember the services of veterans who are no more wth us.
In this series, Late A. H. M. Azwer, former Minister and well known radio artiste, is going to be remembered.
Azwer stepped into Radio Ceylon in 1957 when he was a student. He first voiced in Ukvathul Islam, sinhala programme of Muslim Service. His son Ameen Azwer (Doha, Qatar), Moulavi Meera Mohideen, former Deputy Director of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs and Senior Broadcaster Furkhan Bee Ifthikar are the associates who speak about Marhoom Alhaj A. H. M. Azwer’s involvement with the Muslim Service.
The programme will be on air on Tuesday, Sept. 19 at 8.15 p.m. over Muslim Service. It is compiled by M. S. M. Jinnah and produced by Mrs. M.J.Fathima Rinoosiya, Director Muslim Service.
