COLOMBO – The Sri Lanka Islamic Centre distributed Rs 800,000 worth of gift vouchers to 160 needy families in Maligawatte area to help them celebrate Ramazan and the Eid ul Fitr Festival.
The event was held at the headquarters of the Islamic Centre, Colombo on Wednesday April 19.
The Islamic Centre distributes nearly 1000 dry rations packs every year during the Month of Ramazan. This year they presented gift vouchers to the people of the area to buy their requirements.
Chairman of the Islamic Centre and former ambassador of the Saudi Arabia Al Haj. Hussain Mohamed distributed gift vouchers to the needy families.
