COLOMBO : Saudi Arabia’s new Ambassador to Sri Lanka Khalid Hamoud Nasser Aldasan Al-Qahtani; who presented his credentials to President Ranil Wickremesinghe on Friday, September 16 . also met prime minister Dinesh Gunawardene at his official residence on the same day in the afternoon.
The two parties focused on improving the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka especially in trade and employment opportunities in the Kingdom .
Secretary to the Prime Minister Anura Dissanayake and Naqeeb and Najeeb Mowlana of Saudi Sri Lanka Friendship Association were also present during the meeting.
Al-Qahtani succeeds former ambassador Abdul Nasser Al-Harthy who left the island two months ago on completion of his tour of duty.
