Korean Envoy meets Governor of Northern Province
COLOMBO : Korean Ambassador Santhush Woonjin JEONG met with the Governor of the Northern Province Jeevan Thiagarajah in Kilinochchi and discussed ways to promote cooperation between Korea and the Northern Province of Sri Lanka recently.
The Governor of the Northern Province Jeevan Thiagarajah deeply appreciated the magnificent contribution by the Korean government to enhance the education sector and improve the educational environment for the local community. Both parties engaged in a fruitful meeting on ways to promote Korea-Sri Lanka ties including Korean language education for school students in the Northern Province.
The Chief Secretary of the Northern Province S.M. Saman Bandulasena and Embassy Secretary Ms. Miyeon LIM were present at the meeting.
