COLOMBO ; UNP member Wajira Abeywardena has been nominated as a Member of Parliament to fill the vacancy created by Ranil Wickremesinghe who was elected President.
A gazette notification has been issued in this regard by the Election Commission after Abeywardena was nominated by the United National Party.
