

COLOMBO: The government of Bangladesh committed essential medicines and medical supplies worth US $2.3 million (LKR 830 million) as gift for the people of Sri Lanka.
The first consignment of the medicines has reached Sri Lanka. In a token hand-over ceremony at the Health Ministry on Tuesday. May 31.
The Minister of Health and Water Supply Keheliya Rambukkwella. received the medicines from the Bangladesh High Commissioner Tareq Md Ariful Islam. 79 different types of essential medicines were donated to Sri Lanka and they included medication required for blood pressure and cancer.
