COLOMBO- The anti-government protests at the Galle Face Green and in other parts of the island continue for the 34th consecutive day in Sri Lanka to oust President Gotabaya Rajapaksa from his office.
On Wednesday, May 11. the police advised the people at the ‘ GotaGoGama’ at the Galle Face Green to evacuate from the site since the curfew is in force under the emergency regulation.
In a separate interview on the same day, Army commander Major General Shavendra De Silva said that the peaceful protestors can remain at the Galle Face Green so long as they are calm and unto themselves. Pix were taken in the afternoon on Wednesday, May 11 after these official announcements.
