WASHINGTON: Sri Lankan finance minister Ali Sabry received the blessings of the Imam and congregation at the Islamic Community Center in Potomac in Maryland here when he took part in prayers at the mosque.
Introducing Sabry to the worshippers, the Imam said that Sabry has come from Sri Lanka, which was called Serndib in early times by Arab travelers to the island and subsequently it was changed by Britons to Serendipity.

The Imam said that Sabry had come to the US for talks with the IMF and to relieve his country from the present economic crisis.” We wish him well in his efforts and pray Allah to help Sri Lankans who are undergoing a period of turbulence at present.”

If you wanna get blessings from a priest go to a temple
Muslims go to the mosque for the mandatory 5 times/day players …
..as the minister was travelling..praying in any mosque is optional …basically he paid a courtesy call to the wash.d.c mosque..and as it happened to be a Friday..he performed Friday prayers there…having the cake and eating it at the same time…so to speak
