COLOMBO : Disturbed over its member becoming a new minister of the ruling party, the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, SLMC, said that it would take disciplinary action against the new Environment Minister Naseer Ahamed.
Ahamed is one of the four dissidents who broke the congress regulations and supported the ruling party in the constitutional amendments in the parliament.
SLMC Leader and former minister Rauf Hakeem described the taking over of the ministry as a disgraceful act that deserves punitive action against Ahamed.
He said in a statement made available to Colombo Times that the SLMC’s high command is to meet on Friday, April 22 and suitable action will be taken against the minister who broke the rules and regulations of the SLMC.
Ahmed is already under a disciplinary inquiry over a previously alleged disobedience.
Money talks. Bootlickers. Will do anything for money. 💰💰
Will not Rauf Hakeem accept that killing Kumari Cooray (October 8th., 2005), daughter of a former politician, as a disgraceful act that deserves punitive action against him, which former President and now PM Mahinda Rajapaksa intervened and helped him out to be free. DID NOT RAUF HAKEEM BOOTLICK the Rajapaksas tto to sweep this incident under the carpet. WHY WILL NOT THE MUSLIM VOTE BANK NOT VOTE AGAINST ALL THESE DECEPTIVE AND HOODWINKING MUSLIM POLITICIANS? They should do so at the next general elections, Insha Allah.
