COLOMBO: Justice Minister Ali Sabry who tendered his resignation following the resignation of the Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa on Sunday night on April 3, has also made a statement for his decision.
The statement : I have decided and tendered my resignation from the post of minister of justice.
I have always wanted to see a prosperous country where all Sri Lankans, irrespective of their race religion or language live with unity dignity and justice.
I thought, rather than being an armchair critic, I must positively contribute towards the progress of the country.
Things did not work exactly the way we thought, it would.
However, I can sleep with peace of mind, that, I have always acted true to my conscience and the best interest of my beloved motherland.
Thank you everyone who helped me in delivering my services to the best of my of abilities.”
