DUBAI : Following series of 56 group matches, one eliminator and two qualifiers, IPL 2021 has reached its finale with the ‘Final’ scheduled to be unfolded today at 7.30 pm (14:00 GMT). Chennai Super Kings (CSK) will clash with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Dubai Dubai International Stadium, Dubai.
CSK is entering its 9th IPL Finals and has won the title in 2010, 2011 and 2018. KKR have made it to the IPL Final of IPL in 2012 and 2014 and was victorious on both occasions. In 2012, KKR beat CSK in a high scoring match.
KKR made the IPL playoffs by finishing fourth in the group stages by winning seven out of fourteen matches. KKR overcame two nail biting matches against RCB and DC to reach the final.
CSK, won nine out of their fourteen group matches and finished second on the table. CSK beat Delhi Capitals in the first qualifier to reach the IPL 2021 final.
