SHARJAH : The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) continue their winning spree with another win by 6 wickets against Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) chasing 134 runs. CSK is the first team in the IPL 2021 to qualify for Playoffs. This certainly is a remarkable achievement for CSK given that in IPL 2020 CSK failed to make it to the playoffs for the first time in history of IPL.
CSK won the toss and decided to invite SRH to bat first. Saha contributed with 44 runs for SRH however was only able to reach a modest total of 134 runs for the loss of 7 wickets. The CSK bowling attack was led by Josh Hazelwood with 3 for 24 runs and Dwayne Bravo with 2 for 17 runs.
CSK opening batsman continues their solid opening partnerships in this match too with a 75 run partnership (Gaikwad 45 runs and Fuf Du Plessis 41 runs). Jason Holder bowled well for SRH and took 3 wickets for 27 runs. Although 4 wickets fell, CSK sailed across the target with a 31 run partnership between A.Rayudu (17 runs off 13 balls) and MS Dhoni (14 off 11 balls). CSK captain sealed the match with a sixer with 2 balls left to reach 139 for 4 wickets. Josh Hazelwood with his 3 wickets haul was named the man of the match. SRH who is currently at the bottom of the table with only 3 matches left is knocked out of the tournament and would have to play for pride in the rest of the matches.
