COLOMBO ; The Friday Mid-Afternoon Chat series of the KPMG Sri Lanka Academy will present its 26th virtual session on 10th September 21.
The virtual session will be on the “The intricacies of SVAT: SVAT fundamentals expounded via case studies” conducted by Mr. Suresh R I Perera Perera, Principal – Tax & Regulatory and Ms. Radhini Thomas, Senior Manager – Tax & Regulatory at KPMG in Sri Lanka.
The webinar will enlighten the participants with regard to the Simplified Value Added Tax (SVAT) scheme in a structured and a simplified manner. The grasping of the knowledge by the participants will be facilitated via case studies.
The discussion will unravel concerns including eligibility for registration, duties and obligations of the registrants, penal provisions, applications to strategic development projects (including projects at the Port City), exporters, construction companies and many finer points not visible on the surface in relation to the SVAT scheme.
