COLOMBO : Taliban is in control of Kabul now and the foreign occupation is no more. The fate of Afghan people is still unclear though Taliban spokesperson has given a package of assurances to foreign medias pledging a new era which was not like the Taliban’s previous administration that made Afghanistan as a safe heaven for global terrorism from 1996 to 2021.
So what’s next for Afghanistan and it’s people? It is a 64 billion dollar-question mark for many though US left 85 billion dollars worth military equipment where Taliban got the control of it including 100 Russian made helicopters.
Australiam Prime Minister is praising the evacuation of Afghan refugees from Kabul by sharing this image. It is a bloody shame on world leaders who knew this situation in advance that this tragedy could happen to the people of Afghan who have supported and also worked in the administration of foreign occupation.
Now these leaders are trying to get publicity for themselves by showing them as saviors of Afghan refugees. These bunch of leaders must be ashamed about themselves for purely betraying the people who have reposed confidence in them.
The peace treaty was signed between the U.S. and the Taliban known also as Doha Agreement on February 2020 in Doha Qatar by agreed an exit strategy timeline by May 2021.
US President Joe Biden breached the withdrawal agreement too which is another complete failure. Afghan soldiers worked for big pay check and once you stop paying they stop fighting too and returned home. Many experts warned about this situation but these world leaders were blindly worked according to their own way of solutions. Now you have no way of completing the total evacuation before the August 31st deadline given by the Taliban.
