ISMATHUL RAHMAN
NEGOMBO: Senior member of the Negombo Municipal Council,(NMC) Callistus Jayakody,63, passed away peacefully during his self-quarantine period at his residence on Sunday morning.
Representing the United National Party,UNP,at the NMC,Jayakody has an uninterrupted service for well over three decades at the Negombo Municipal Council. At later stage, Jayakody crossed over to the Samagi Jana Balavegaya. He represented the Sepungoda Sethapadu ward in the council.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
