“ Muslims celebrate Hajj Festival which is one of the most important festivals in the Islamic calendar . One of two feast festivals, Eid al-Adha falls on the 10th day of the Islamic calendar’s last month, Dhu al-Hijjah.
Islam has bestowed two festivals for its followers, Eid ul Fitr, the Ramadan Festival and Eid ul Azha the Hajj Festival . Both are celebrated after some sacrifices, which add value to their deeds.
The festival begin at the first sighting of the new moon. Muslim after attending special morning prayers, will visit friends and family. During these visits, many people in there Sunday’s , special foods are served to the guests. Exchanging Greetings of “Thakabal Allahu Minna Wa Minka” ( Oh Allah accept us and others ) with their friends and relations.

On this special occasion we pray Almighty Allah to restore much needed peace and understanding among our Sri Lankan brothers and Sisters and usher peace and harmony among all communities and prosperity to our motherland.
