Delegation of 11 Buddhist monks leave for Pakistan on a goodwill mission

COLOMBO : A delegation comprising 11 Buddhist monks left for Pakistan on a goodwill mission on Monday.
The team was seen off by the Pakistan High Commissioner Retired Major General Muhammed Saad Khattak at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
The familiarization tours was sponsored by the Pakistan High Commission in Colombo.During its one week stay in Pakistan, the delegates are expected to visit Lahore, Islambad and historical places in the country. They are also expected to meet the country’s President Dr. Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.
