A woman was killed when a tipper collided with a motorcycle on the Horawapathana-Vavuniya main road, police said. The incident took place on Friday December 11 at 10-55 p.m.
The deceased has been identified as M. Anula Kumari (56) of Horawapathana-Ritikahawewa area, who is working as an Agricultural Production Research Assistant at the same Divisional Secretariat. It is learned that the husband and wife who were traveling on a motorcycle got stuck in the tipper of the bus when the tipper vehicle behind WP NB-3308 which was traveling from Trincomalee to Jaffna was stopped.
