COLOMBO :In line with the directives of the Government of Nepal, the Nepal National Day Reception scheduled for 17 September 2026 has been cancelled in view of the devastating floods that occurred in the Bhotekoshi River area of Rasuwa District, Nepal, on 26 August 2026, resulting in the tragic loss of human lives and extensive damage to property and infrastructure.
