CLOMBO — The All Ceylon YMMA Conference new officials paid a courtesy call on the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Nepal Vijay Kumar Raut on Monday, August 17, at the Embassy premises.
YMMA President M.R.M. Ziyard, International Affairs Committee Chairman and former Ambassador to Palestine Fawzan Anver and Secretary of the International Affairs Committee Ruzaik Farook were present at the meeting.
During the discussion, the officials exchanged views on the bilateral relations between Nepal and Sri Lanka. President Ziyard briefed the Chargé d’Affaires on the activities and community services carried out by YMMA across the country.
He highlighted YMMA’s work in education, health, self-employment, sports, and women’s empowerment, emphasizing the organization’s commitment to serving all communities.
International Affairs Committee Chairman Fawzan Anver also briefed the Chargé d’Affaires on the activities of YMMA’s 170 branches and invited the Chargé d’Affaires to visit the YMMA Conference.
At the conclusion of the meeting, President Ziyard presented a YMMA publication to the Chargé d’Affaires Vijay Kumar.
