COLOMBO : A 30-year-old man who allegedly smuggled a consignment of foreign-manufactured cigarettes into the country was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.
The arrest was made by a team of officers from the Airport Police Narcotics Bureau.
The suspect had arrived in Sri Lanka from Dubai.
The confiscated cigarettes, valued at approximately Rs. 6 million, were concealed in his luggage.
