COLOMBO — The Cultural Counsellor of the Iranian Cultural Centre paid an official visit to Ihsaniyya Arabic College, Colombo on Monday July 27.
He was warmly received by the Principal, Moulavi W.I.M. Jalaluddeen (Bari), Vice Principal Moulavi M.F.M. Farood (Ihsani), Vice Principal M.M.M. Ashraf (Ihsani), Deputy Director Moulavi Ubaid Niyas (Azhari) , General Secretary Moulavi M.A.M. Bukhari (Ihsani), members of the Board of Management; teachers; and students.
As part of the visit, a special du’a gathering was held to pray for world peace and the unity of humanity and Vice Principal Moulavi M.F.M. Farood recited the duha. During the programme, tribute was also paid to the late Iranian leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, with reflections on his leadership and contributions.
In his address, the Cultural Director highlighted Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s leadership and his contributions to the global Muslim community. He also encouraged students to pursue both religious and secular education, emphasising that a balanced education would equip them to become responsible and productive citizens who contribute positively to society and the nation.
As a token of appreciation, the Deputy Director Moulavi Ubaid Niyas presented the Cultural Director with a commemorative souvenir on behalf of the college.
The programme concluded with a du’a, and the visit marked a significant occasion in further strengthening the educational and cultural ties between the two countries.
