Zahira College, in collaboration with its Old Boys’ Group of ’60, will organize the Zahira Invitation Schools Under-19 Rugby 7s Tournament on July 19, 2026, at the Royal Sports Complex Grounds.
The tournament will feature 12 leading rugby-playing schools from across the country and is expected to provide a competitive platform for emerging rugby talent. Players born in 2007, 2008, and 2009 will be eligible to participate.
The competition will be conducted in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the Sri Lanka Schools Rugby Football Association and with the approval of the Ministry of Education.
Organizers have announced that no entry fee will be charged. Participating teams will be provided with free lunch, drinking water, and medical facilities on match day.
In addition to trophies and medals, substantial cash prizes will be awarded. The Cup champions will receive Rs. 500,000, while the runners-up will earn Rs. 200,000. The Plate winners and Bowl winners will receive Rs. 100,000 and Rs. 50,000 respectively.
