


COLOMBO — The sixth Annual Convocation Ceremony of the Royal Academy of Professional Studies was held on Monday, 6th April at the BMICH Main Hall, under the patronage of the Head of Academics, Dr. M. N. Lukmanul Hakeem.
Professor A. Sarwesvaran, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Private and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Colombo, attended the event as the Chief Guest. In his address, he encouraged students to continuously enhance their knowledge, sharing insights from his own educational journey and congratulating those who successfully completed their studies.
Major Darshana Hettiarrachchi, former Rehabilitation Commissioner General, was present as the Guest of Honour. He advised students to remain committed to their education and not to discontinue their learning. Reflecting on the sacrifices made by parents for their children’s education, he emphasized that a good education shapes responsible citizens. He urged students to make their parents proud and honor their efforts.
Approximately 600 students were awarded certificates in various disciplines, including Diplomas in Human Resources, English, and Psychology and Counselling.
The ceremony was attended by special guests, parents, students, and teachers. Dr. M. N. Lukmanul Hakeem also presented tokens of appreciation to the distinguished guests.
