COLOMBO : The Association of the Licensed Foreign Employment Agencies. ALFEA, established under the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment Act No. 21, has urged Iran to cease all attacks on Arab countries in the Middle East. a statement to the press , the ALFEA said “ Considering the safety and welfare of migrant workers and employers who make a significant contribution to our country’s economy, we respectfully urge Iran to immediately cease all attacks targeting the Middle Eastern Arab Countries.”
In this context, it is the collective hope of the Government and the people of Sri Lanka that the current conflict situation in the Middle East will come to an end soon and that peace will be restored.
Once stability is achieved, we are committed to working together with migrant workers to contribute fully towards strengthening the Middle Eastern economies, while also supporting the growth of Sri Lanka’s economy.
We remain confident that Sri Lankan workers in the Middle East will continue to receive greater opportunities and benefits in the future.”
