COLOMBO — The Sri Lanka Association of Administrative and Professional Secretaries (SLAAPS) successfully held its 48th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Amari Hotel, Colombo on Sunday January 25 with the participation of a large number of members, including several past Presidents.
During the AGM, office bearers and committee members for the 2026-2027 term were duly elected, along with a newly appointed Board of Advisors. Ms. Ruchira Abeywardena was elected as President of SLAAPS. Addressing the membership, she expressed her appreciation for the confidence placed in her leadership and called upon members to actively support and engage in the Association’s future projects and initiatives.
The Immediate Past President, Ms. Azra Reyaldeen, conveyed her sincere appreciation to the membership for the cooperation, trust and support extended to her throughout her tenure.
The AGM concluded with the formal announcement of the new Executive Committee, following which members and past Presidents present extended their best wishes and support to the newly elected office bearers.
