Late Adhil was not only a talented cricketer but was also a remarkable philanthropist, deeply loved by the Melbourne community for his selfless dedication to social service. He never hesitated to extend a helping hand to those in need. Just a few days before his demise, he personally handed over 17 packs of food and clothing to the collection centre, intended for the Sri Lankan flood victims.
He was an active member of Mates Vision and ICASA, Sri Lankan organizations in Melbourne, and had been playing for the Paradise Cricket Club since 2016, serving as the current Vice Captain.
Adhil is survived by his parents, Marhoom Zaheer Hussain and Muneera Marikkar of Negombo; his beloved wife, Fathima Ilma Imtiyas (Melbourne); and his loving children, Aabid, Ayoob, and Aala (Melbourne). He also leaves behind his siblings, Ashfa (Melbourne), Omar, Osman, Ashra, and Imadh; son in law of Imthiyas and Fahima brothers-in-law Sharaf Ahamed (Mates Mission, Melbourne), Hajara Zahir, Ilham Irshan and Shazna Abdeen; and his cousin, Naushard Junaid (Melbourne, Australia).
His Janaza took place on Wednesday morning, Dec. 17 in Melbourne in the midst of a large sympathizers
