Wisdom International College Clinches Double Championship at AISL Football TournamentBERUWELA – Wisdom International College, Beruwala, achieved an exceptional sporting milestone by winning both the Under-18 and Under-16 Championships at the AISL (Association of International Schools in Lanka) Football Tournament 2025, held at Beruwala Futsal on Saturday November 15
The tournament, hosted by Wisdom International College, Beruwela, for the second time, brought together 45 teams from 14 schools across the country. This year’s event was praised for its smooth coordination and high standard of organisation.
Inshaff Sarifdeen, the president of the Association of International Schools in Lanka (AISL) and CEO of Pebbles Academy, commended Wisdom for successfully delivering the tournament once again He noted that Wisdom had “done a great job for the second time hosting this grand football event without any issues and making it truly remarkable.”
On the field, Wisdom’s Under-16 and Under-18 teams demonstrated outstanding teamwork, discipline, and determination throughout the competition. Their consistent performance, tactical strength, and ability to rise under pressure led them to secure both titles on their home ground.
The school extended special appreciation to Coach Niflan, whose leadership and commitment played a pivotal role in shaping the teams’ success. His focus on fitness, unity, and strategy has significantly elevated the standard of football within the school.

The awards ceremony was presided over by M.H.M. Fowsar, Chairman of Wisdom International College, and Haziq Fowsar, Director, and Inshaff Sarifdeen, the President of the Association of International Schools in Lanka (AISL) and CEO of Pebbles Academy who congratulated the champions and thanked all participating schools for their contribution to the event.
