



COLOMBO : Deputy Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs Muneer Mulaffer assumed duties on Monday, October 13, at the headquarters of the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs premises.
Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, speaking at the ceremony, praised Deputy Minister Mulaffer’s extensive experience and dedication to his party. The Minister highlighted Deputy Minister Mulaffer’s proficiency in three languages, including Arabic. Also said he has been associating with associate with him more than ten years.
The Minister also noted Deputy Minister Mulaffer’s ability to work with directors of various religious departments, including Hindu, Christian, and Islam. The ceremony included a religious program attended by Buddhist, Hindu, Christian and Islamic religious leaders.
Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Acting Director M.I. Firnas and senior officials from the Ministry and Department were also present.
