COLOMBO : Hasma Bridal Academy hosted its ‘ Wonder Woman Achievers Awards’ annual awards ceremony at the BMICH in Colombo on Saturday, 13 Sept.
The event was hosted by Hasma, Founder Director of Hasma Bridal & Academy., the place of the bride.
Best performers in the academy and others were given awards. A magazine titled ‘ Wonder Women” was launched. The maiden copy of the magazine was presented to well-known philanthropist Hassim Omar.
Among the women achievers who received awards included YWMA President, Fawaza Thaha, principal Saiva Mangayar Kalagam,, Arundathi Rajavijayan, SLBC senior broadcaster Nagapoosani Karupaiah, Anusha Fernando businesswoman, Rupavahini Nethra TV presenter Mrs Konesh, parliamentarian Mrs Lakmali Hemachandra and Maryam Hassim Omar.
The awards were given in recognition of their services in field such business, beauty culture, mehendi, journalism, culinary art,, house-keeping and social services.
