COLOMBO — Headquartered in Sri Lanka, Citizens is a leading youth-led movement staunchly committed to integrating, aggregating, and uniting the younger generation within and outside the island nation to foster and unequivocally support stakeholders influencing peacebuilding, interfaith dialogue and social justice through advocacy, inclusivity, volunteerism, constructive engagement, participatory transformation and apacity building.
In commemoration of International Youth Day 2022, Citizens will host a virtual international youth summit from the 12th – 14th of August via Zoom featuring a distinguished panel of speakers (comprising renowned local and international resource personnel) who will impart their excellence on contemporary and progressive areas of focus influencing youth as well as the UN’s 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda comprising 17 interlinked global goals conceptualized to blueprint a more equitable, sustainable and promising future for all.
A designated team from Citizens has been tasked with evaluating the progress of over 250 delegates from 60+ countries expected to attend the summit and honor them with fitting accolades commensurate with their contribution to the comprehensive programme which would certainly underpin an ideal and robust platform for young agents of change to learn, empower and assume the mantle of leadership in breaking barriers and interacting with diverse communities and multiple organizations.
In its pursuit to offer the delegates an enthralling once-in-a-lifetime experience that would catapult their peacebuilding journey with inclusive and conscious action, Citizens has lined up the following professional resource personnel to mentor and coach the delegates:
