


KANDY: Egyptian ambassador Maged Mosleh who wound up a three-day visit to the hill capital on Friday to renew his country’s ties with the people and institutions in Kandy said that the Sri Lankan should coexist with one another for a peaceful living in the island.
During a luncheon arranged by Director of Orabi Pasha Center Hafeel Saleemdeen and hosted by Afzal Marikkar, Honorary Counselor General of Pakistan at the Radh Hotel on Friday,May 27.the ambassador emphasized the importance of coexistence in a multi-communal society like Sri Lanka.He insisted that the professional and business community should join hands with the initiatives of the authorities to bring the country to the right track.
During his stay in Kandy, the ambassador also visited the Orabi Pasha Center which was set up by Dr Orabi Pasha, and also visited the Kingswood College where a number of Egyptians were studying many decades ago.
