COLOMB0: Sri Lanka Port Authority (SLPA) has issued a clarification about a video circulating on social media about a container operation at Jaya Container Terminal of the Port of Colombo in the presence of Special Task Force (STF) of Police.
The SLPA said a video containing false information regarding a container operation that took place at the Jaya Container Terminal at the Port of Colombo is currently circulating on social media.
According to a statement issued by the SLPA, the container operation included in the video is a re-export of radioactive materials for disposal with the approval of the Sri Lanka Atomic Energy Regulatory Council.
The SLPA said the deployment of the Special Task Force is a part of the official protocol when such an operation is carried out.
