COLOMBO : A total of 350 pairs of spectacles were distributed among the poor people in Beruwela in the presence of members of the clergy from all faiths on Saturday.
The event fully funded by Tissa Gems, was organized by the China Fort Mosque Society in association with the China Fort Foundation. The clinic was run by Vision Care from Cololmbo
Beruwela parliamentarian Marjan Faleel, Beruwela Urban Council Chairman Mazahim Mohammed and Chairman of the China Fort Mosque A.H.M. Mukthar were also present during the distribution.
