COLOMBO : The 34th Edition of FACETS Sri Lanka organised by the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association, will take place from the 4th to 6th January 2027 at the iconic Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Colombo. The landmark event will bring together over one hundred exhibitors representing the finest gem and jewellery companies in the country. Buyers from the USA, Europe, the Middle East, India, China, Thailand and other key markets will converge in Colombo to experience Sri Lanka’s unmatched craftsmanship and gemstone excellence.
At a press conference held at the Gatz, Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams, key stakeholders from across the public and private sectors, with distinguished guests and invited media, shared their views on the significance of the exhibition and the continued growth of Sri Lanka’s gem and jewellery industry. Chairman of the National Gem & Jewellery Authority (NGJA) Prof. S. P. Chaminda, Chairman of the Export Development Board (EDB) Mangala Wijesinghe and Hotel Manager of Cinnamon Life at City of Dreams Roshan George, reaffirmed their respective organisations’ commitment to supporting Sri Lanka’s premier international gem and jewellery exhibition.
The 34th Edition of FACETS Sri Lanka 2027 will include dedicated sections that showcase the island’s world renowned sapphires and contemporary luxury jewellery, while a series of special events — including Sapphire Night, Story Corner, Power Breakfast, Mine Tour and Port City Tour — will create opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing and collaboration.
The success of FACETS Sri Lanka continues to be strengthened by the support of the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) and the National Gem & Jewellery Authority (NGJA). As long-standing partners of the exhibition, the EDB plays a key role in connecting Sri Lanka’s gem and jewellery industry with international buyers and markets, while the NGJA works to uphold industry standards and support the sector’s sustainable growth. Together with the Sri Lanka Gem & Jewellery Association (SLGJA), they have helped establish FACETS as the country’s premier international gem and jewellery exhibition.
The SLGJA unveiled the FACETS 2027 theme and promotional teaser video during the media conference while also announcing the event dates for the next three years, reinforcing the exhibition’s role as a cornerstone of Sri Lanka’s gem and jewellery calendar. FACETS Sri Lanka 2028 will be held from 5th to 7th January, FACETS Sri Lanka 2029 from the 4th to the 6th and FACETS Sri Lanka 2030 from the 6th to 8th January.
