COLOMBO: Three people were injured after a gas tank at a restaurant in Weligama exploded on Wednesday (3) night.
Sri Lanka Police said two males and a female were injured and were rushed to the Matara Hospital for treatment, and they are out of danger.
The Government Analyst has inspected the site of a gas tank explosion in Kapparatota, Weligama on Thursday (4) afternoon.
Police Spokesperson & Attorney-at-Law Nihal Thalduwa told News 1st that preliminary suspicions are that the explosion took place due to a gas leak. He also stressed that there was no evidence to claim that the explosion was caused by explosive or related material.(File pix)
