COLOMBO – The Tower Hall Theatre Foundation, the Central Cultural Fund, and the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs jointly organized the distribution of festival gifts to 150 artistes in celebration of the Sinhala and Tamil New Year.
The event was held on Friday, April 10, at Sawsiripaya on Wijerama Mawatha, Colombo, under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Gamagedara Dissanayake and Deputy Minister of Religious and Cultural Muneer Mulaffer.
Also present at the occasion were Private Secretary to the Deputy Minister of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs Nimal Rathnayake, Media Secretary Wijesekera Walisundra, Director General of the Central Cultural Fund Dr. Nilan Cooray, Director General of the Tower Hall Theatre Foundation Dr. B.M.S. Dissanayake, senior artists, and staff of the Tower Hall Theatre Foundation.
