COLOMBO — The 148th Annual Rifai Manaqib Thaamaam Majlis in commemoration of His Holiness Saint Sulthanul Aarifeen Seyedna Ahamadul Kabeerur Rifai was held on Sunday November 15 at the Marine Grand Banquet Hall , Colombo 06.
It was held under the patronage of Head of Rifai Thareeq His Holiness Rifai Moulana As Sheikh As Seyyed Al Haj U.P. Muhammad Ashique Thangal.
Kaleefathul Rifai Al Haj Moulavi A.C.A. Ahamed Faleel (Cassimi) , Ajward al Fassy Arabic College Principal Kaleefathul Shazuli Moulavi Ahamed Sufi (Mahlari) and Member of the Wakf Board Mufthi M.Z.M Musthafa Raza delivered the speech on the significance of the ceremony.
Western Province Governor Hanif Yusoof, Justice Muhammad Ahsan Marikar, Former Western Province Governor Azath Sally, Hajj Committee Chairman Riyas Mihular, Former Deputy Minister Ali Zahir Moulana, Colombo Grand Mosque Madeenathul ILm Arabic College Principal Moulavi Abdul Aziz, Rifai Thareeq Association officials and Ualamas were also grace the ceremony.
Vice President of the Rifai Thareeq Association Haniffa Ishak proposed the vote of thanks.
